Data from iResearch show that in the first half of 2017, China’s online recruitment revenue attained 2.71 billion Yuan, up 18.9% from a year earlier.

iResearch holds the opinion that the growth was can be attributed to business expansion of the companies in the sector and  rising of average revenue per employer. As online recruitment of core companies reached second- and third-tier cities and blue collar workers, number of employers on online recruitment platforms increased significantly. Meanwhile, online recruitment platforms expanded their business from recruitment to wider range of HR services including assessment and HR outsourcing, thus the average revenue per employer of online recruitment platforms also increased.

According to data from iResearch, 51job and Zhaopin kept their leading roles in China’s online recruitment sector in the first half of 2017. 51job had the largest market share which was 31.8%, and zhaopin ranked the second with a share of 30.7%.

iResearch holds the opinion that judging from the revenu , China’s online recruitment market was still dominated by two giants. Although a series of vertical recruitment companies and new-type recruitment companies emerged recently, China’s online recruitment market is expected to remain its double-giant structure in the near future, as it will took some time for new companies to monetize the traffic.
